Ah, Hollywood glamour. There's nothing quite like that old style that was done in Hollywood during the 30' and 40's. It instantly conjures beautiful black and white images of Greta Garbo, Bette Davis, Myrna Loy, and Clark Gable. Comedy Kings and funny faces in photography such as Groucho Marx and The Marx Brothers and Laurel and Hardy. To a lesser extent Agnes Moorehead (you may remember her from Bewitched, but she was also in Citizen Kane and the axe-choptastic Dear Dead Delilah) and of coarse, for us horror heads, Bela Lugosi and his infamous images of Dracula. The awesomely haunting and frightening photographs of Lon Chaney Jr. as The Wolfman and Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's Monster or The Mummy, or even just as himself. The list could go on and on. They were numerous and they all had that certain something that you just don't see any more. They just don't make 'em like that in this day...or do they?
Enter The Photography of Larry "Darkman" Clark. He has an eye for the camera, a way with the lense and a soul with just the right touch of darkness. He has captured that bygone era in his lense and it comes as second nature to him. He can see things as a photographer that you may not see for yourself and on his webspace he can even show you how. He has articles such as Lighting Techniques for Hollywood Glamour Photography, Hollywood Glamour Photos and How To Take Them, and even goes so far as Hollywood Glamour Lighting Video and Diagrams.
In Larry's own words, "There’s nothing like making a Hollywood legend from an everyday person." Oh, that's right, didn't I mention it? You can even get "Darkman" to do some photos for you or even apply as a model. Not to worry, if its horror you want, it's horror you've got. Don't believe me? check it out here. He doesn't call himself "Darkman" for nothing.
